Mauritania

Mauritania, officially the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, is a country located in the northwest of Africa. It limits with the Atlantic ocean to the west, Senegal to the southwest, Mali to the east and southeast, by Algeria to the northeast and with the territory of Western Sahara (disputed between the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and Morocco) to the north. 90 per cent of its territory is located in the Sahara and the greater part of its population of 4.4 million, inhabits the south to temperate in the country, with approximately one-third concentrated in the capital and largest city, Nouakchott, located on the coast of the Atlantic ocean.
